Gene and Eric were interviewed on the Dallas-based syndicated radio channel Z-Rock during the afternoon.
Lifelong KISS fan and Dallas-based attorney Kevin Gladden had a noteworthy encounter with Paul and Gene. Gladden relates: "The day after the Dallas show, KISS had an early morning flight, so I went down to their hotel in hopes of seeing them before they left. When I walked in, Paul was sitting in the lobby reading a newspaper. He seemed very tired, but when I mentioned that I'd just seen Peter in concert, he perked up pretty fast and said, 'Sit down, I wanna hear ALL about this.' So, I told him about Peter's tour bus losing a wheel while driving to Houston and how a seemingly intoxicated 47 year-old Peter had introduced himself as being 37 to a female friend of mine. Paul just sat there shaking his head as I explained that Peter couldn't remember the words to "Hard Luck Woman." That's when I whipped out the concert ticket that had billed Peter as 'KISS Founder Peter Criss.' I'll never forget Paul turning around and telling Gene, 'Check this outKISS Founder Peter Criss!' Gene came over and Paul insisted that I repeat to Gene all the stories I'd just told him. They both seemed quite interested in what was going on with Peter. Neither seemed a bit surprised about the things they were hearing, but they both appeared to be at least a little disappointed. It didn't register with me until years later why: they were already thinking about the future."
